Frequently Asked Questions
Our panels are intended for indoor use only.
Why choose acoustic panels?
Acoustic panels can be easily installed in almost any room and offer a significant sound reduction benefit. Furthermore, they have a beautiful appearance, making them a perfect alternative to traditional wallpaper or wall paint.
How many panels do I need in a noisy environment?
This depends entirely on the size of your room, the number of other pieces of furniture, and even the height of your ceiling.
What sizes do you offer?
The width of our acoustic panels is always 60cm.
We offer up to three different lengths, depending on the collection.
120cm
240cm
300cm
Are the panels untreated?
All our real wood variants are untreated.
How wide are the slats and what is the distance between the slats?
The slats are 27mm or 38mm wide. The spacing between the slats is approximately 13mm for panels with 27mm slats.
Why do I need a finishing strip?
End strips can be used to create a solid wood look at the end of a panel. The strip conceals the felt on the sides.
Can I reorder individual slats or just felt?
We are currently unable to offer individual slats. We are happy to accept inquiries about purchasing felt via email.
Do you offer custom cutting?
We do not offer a custom cutting service.
How do I care for my acoustic panels?
The panels are easy to maintain. A few times a year, wiping with a slightly damp cloth is sufficient. For wood panels, we recommend maintenance oils.
How much maintenance oil do I need per panel?
Depending on the type of wood, 500ml of care oil is sufficient for approx. 6-8 panels.
We recommend only oiling the surface of the individual slats; it is difficult to spread the oil evenly on the sides without it getting onto the felt.
Can the acoustic panels be installed outdoors?
Our panels are intended for indoor use only.

Questions & answers about assembly
Do I need a substructure?
A substructure is not absolutely necessary.
To achieve an even better acoustic effect, we recommend mounting the panels on a substructure including insulation material.
How many screws do I need per acoustic panel?
It depends on where the panels are mounted.
For wall mounting, we recommend 15 screws per panel (20 for mounting on a plaster wall).
For ceiling mounting, 20-25 screws should be used per panel.
Can I cut the panels and how should I go about this?
Yes, the panels can easily be sawn to the desired size.
The easiest way to do this is with a circular saw, but it is also possible with a jigsaw, hacksaw or Japanese saw.
Important NOTE:
For a table saw, felt facing down and slats facing up; for a Japanese saw, foxtail saw or jigsaw, always place the felt facing up.
Can I install acoustic panels myself?
Sure! Installation is child's play and no problem even for amateurs.
Can I cut off the felt at the end?
Yes, it is very easy to do and works great with a utility knife, for example.
Can I install acoustic panels in bathrooms and wet rooms?
We cannot recommend use in damp rooms, but you are the best person to judge whether installation without direct contact with water is possible.
You may also have good ventilation in your bathroom. However, in this case, we recommend applying a water-repellent coating to the slats.
Questions & Answers about LED Strips
Which acoustic panels are the LED strips suitable for?
The LED strips are 6 mm thick and fit acoustic panels with 6 mm and 9 mm slat thickness. They are 13 mm wide.
How long are the cables and what size is the transformer?
The power cable is 110 cm long and the cable from the LED strip to the transformer is 200 cm long.
The transformer measures 22 cm × 7.6 cm × 2.5 cm.
What lengths, colors, and customization options are available?
Our LED strips are available in lengths of 240 cm and 300 cm, as well as in white and black.
The LED strips can be shortened every 5cm at the cutting lines on the back.
CAUTION: The abbreviated piece is no longer usable afterwards.
What light color and brightness do the LEDs offer?
The LEDs emit a warm white light at 3000 Kelvin and have five adjustable brightness levels.
What technology is included in the delivery?
These are new types of LED strips, not identical to previously offered models. Each order includes a 200W transformer that operates on 24V. Up to six LED strips can be connected to one transformer.
How are the LED strips controlled?
Each transformer comes with its own remote control. The LED strips are not Wi-Fi or app-controlled.
Can multiple LED strips be controlled together by different transformers?
No, each remote control exclusively controls its respective transformer.
Do I need to use the remote control for the LED strips?
No, the remote control does not necessarily have to be used to operate the LED strips.
For use without a remote control, the receiver (black) must be removed from the transformer.
